Men’s mental health

So what is Men's Mental Health?

There is no one answer to this question as men's mental health can vary drastically from one individual to the next. Men may be more likely to feel isolated and alone, to experience higher levels of stress and anxiety, and to suffer from mental health conditions such as depression, addiction, and PTSD. It is a known statistic that Men are more likely to take their life by suicide, compared to woman (Source ONS 2021 Statistics).

Why is it that us Men feel uncomfortable talking about our thoughts and feelings? Perhaps our parents taught us that it wasn't good for Men to say how they were feeling? Maybe you feel less of a man if you cry? Perhaps you are the main earner and there is absolutely no way that you can't work, no matter how stressful the position?

Finding it difficult to say the words? My goal is to help men feel more comfortable and empowered to deal with your issues. I will work with you to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore thoughts and feelings. I will not judge you whatever you bring.

If you are experiencing any mental health issues, please don't hesitate to call or email me.
